Themed Weekends

16th Century "Test Of Strength" - Tug-O-War is popularized in the 1500 and 1600's during tournaments in French Chateaux Gardens and later in Great Britain.

Tug Of War at the 2012 Florida Renaissance Festival

Using an internationally approved official tug of war rope, with the basic rules of real competition, we will hold 2 - 4 "pulls" in the ‘Field of Dreams’ each day.  Please check the “entertainment schedule” for times.  Healthy, physically fit adults over 18 years of age can take part.  Winners will each receive a general admission tickets each to return to the Festival.

Please note: Limit to 8 participants per team. Participants assume all risk in participation.  Participants must be wearing proper footwear and clothing to participate. They must be free of injury. Because of the nature of the event, it must be assumed by participants that a fall in the sand is possible.

All participants must abide by the rules governing
the competition and obey all signals and calls of the judge.  Failure to do so could cause injury to themselves and team members, and may result in the participant being removed from the field.
